We love creating our soaps using veggies, herbs and clay! It's one of the things that makes soaps from Soaping Up Life so unique. You can expect we'll have a bar of soap containing farm-fresh ingredients like ripe avocado, pumpkin, banana, goat's milk, honey....we even make soap with tomatoes!

It is our mission here in Texas, to make our soaps as natural as possible, using ingredients from the earth that will nourish your skin-and smell amazing! We strive to be informed consumers and makers, so we choose to make our soaps palm-free. And since, "everything is bigger in Texas," we brought in a heaping amount of shea butter to complete our recipe. Shea Butter is rich in fatty acids that soften the skin, it's full of antioxidants and is noncomedogenic, which means it will not clog pores. Our shea butter soaps are luxurious, a real treat for the skin!

"Old-Fashioned" Lye Soap is known as Cold-Process Soap. It's what we make here at Soaping Up Life. This differs from the soap you see in the store that is made from synthetic detergents and surfactants that are pressed together and are actually harsh on the skin. The cold-process method of soap making combines oils and sodium hydroxide to cause a chemical reaction we call saponification, which turns those ingredients into a bubbly, bar of soap. By using natural, food-grade oils, our soaps are healthy for your skin, better for the environment and made with our very own, special recipe.

"Fragrance" on a bottle includes many synthetic chemicals that are known carcinogens, hormone disruptors and irritants to human health. Artificial fragrances can actually contribute to skin dryness and irritation. We use essential oils to scent our products because essential oils are natural compounds extracted from plants. We use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils in our products, which makes them even more luxurious! Our soaps do not contain any artificial coloring as well. The color you see on the soap is determined by the ingredients each bar contains. We like to make our soaps using veggies, herbs and clay.
